About The Position

Ukiah Waste Solutions, Inc., a Waste Connections company, has an immediate opening for a Class A Transfer Driver to support routes out of Ukiah, CA! Schedule is Monday - Friday, 4AM start time with 8 to 10 hour work days. Occasional Saturdays as needed. Starting pay range is $27.00 per hour. Pay range for this job category is $27-$29 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer great medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401k match, dollar per dollar up to 5%, vacation days, etc. Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in mostly exclusive and secondary markets. Requirements

Valid Class A Clean driving record.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Responsibilities

Ability to safely operate a transfer truck on specified routes.
Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
