Start Pay: $70,000+ per year! Monthly performance bonus of up to $500. Local Routes. Work Five days a week. Requiring 2 over night shift a week (hotel and per diem is provided).

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL license.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (10-12K pounds of freight).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food service delivery.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Communicating and interacting with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Performing all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Inspecting trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Performing count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
  • Driving to and delivering customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
  • Unloading products from the trailer, transporting items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Verifying delivery of items with customer and obtaining proper signatures.
  • Collecting money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Completing daily record of hours of service and entering in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Performing general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keeping trailers clear and clean as required.
