About The Position

Class A OTR Solo Driver POSITION DETAILS Pay/salary information: Detention Pay at $12.50 per hour after the second hour; Layover/Breakdown Pay at $100 per day Home time details: Every 2 Weeks/Flexible home time policy based on drivers schedule Equipment type: 2021 or newer Freightliner Cascadias or Kenworths Freight type: 100% no-touch freight, with 50-60% drop & hook and 40-50% live unload Route/lane information: Nationwide OTR covering all 48 states, primarily east of I-35 Mileage average: Drivers typically run around 2,000 miles per week; top performers run between 2,300-3,000+ miles per week No forced NYC dispatch: Drivers are not required to enter NYC or its five boroughs REQUIREMENTS Experience requirements: Previous driving experience preferred License requirements: Valid CDL-A required Age requirements: Must be at least 21 years old Physical requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks associated with driving and freight handling Background/MVR requirements: Clean driving record and background check required BENEFITS Medical Insurance Our medical insurance is provided through Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), with two plan options to best suit your needs. They will record the inside of the cab if a triggered event takes place that will cause the outside cam to start recording (hard braking, swerving, collisions, lane departures, etc). However, home time preferences should be discussed directly with your driver to ensure a balanced schedule that meets their needs. Type of Fuel Card: Trans Card New York City: Non forced Rider Policy: Must be at least 10 years of age (If under 18, must have legal custody of child) Riders cannot possess a valid CDL license $27.00 per month for insurance Only 1 rider allowed at any given time Teams may not have a rider in the truck Once a Driver is solo, they may have a rider Drivers can have riders as long as it is not a local account Pet Policy: There is a $500.00 Non-Refundable maintenance fee and a $10.00/week charge Deducted from the Driver's Check - $50 a week for 10 weeks Limited to only 1 Dog or 1 Cat per truck Must not exceed 80 lbs Cats - The Cat DOES need to be declawed Dogs - The owners have to sign paperwork and if the dog shows signs of aggression, then they couldn’t have the dog on the truck. If it’s a service animal, HR will need to review the ADA Accommodation for the medical paperwork that shows the diagnosis or reason for the animal, medical release, and health records of the animal for it to be approved as a service animal.
