About The Position

Drive tractor-trailer combinations to deliver product to customers in a timely and accurate manner. Communicate and coordinate respectfully with dispatchers. Obey and follow all applicable traffic laws. Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance within vehicle. Maintain drive log in compliance with state and federal regulations. Ensure mechanical issues with vehicle are noted and corrected before driving. Meet delivery schedules. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations. Report defect, accidents, and violations. Perform basic daily maintenance of truck (i.e, refueling, cleaning, etc.). Load and unload tucks with forklifts and/or pallet jacks. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports. Record cargo deliveries. Verify loads for accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years CDL driving experience.
  • Valid California Class A license and current medical card.
  • Experience transporting and handling freight.
  • Current 10 Year DMV printout.
  • Ability to pass Security Threat Assessment (TSA) background check.
  • Hazardous Materials endorsement required.
  • Ability to read and comprened instructions in English.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
  • Ability to pass Security Threat Assessment (TSA) background check

Nice To Haves

  • Route delivery experience and familiarity with San Diego and Los Angeles counties preferred.
  • TWIC preferred.
  • DBIDS preferred.
