Murrey's Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is seeking a safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Fife, WA. This position offers competitive wages starting at $32.75 per hour, with a top scale of $33.75 per hour. The role is primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and the start time ranges between 4 am and 6 am. As a Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer on a dedicated local route, utilizing manual transmission at 13 & 18 speed in the tractor/trailer equipment. There is also a possibility for training on Roll Off operations. In addition to driving, you will perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, which includes checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires. The job is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift 50 lbs regularly. You will interact courteously with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. The working conditions involve climbing in and out of the cab up to 40+ times a day, and you will be exposed to various physical risks, including moving mechanical parts, necessitating adherence to basic safety precautions. The work environment includes exposure to outside weather, frequent wet and humid conditions, fumes, and vibrations, with a moderate noise level. You will be expected to work in all weather conditions.
