About The Position

Tina's Burritos, owned by Camino Real Foods, Inc., is America's leading CPG brand of frozen single-serve burritos, producing a million budget-friendly burritos daily in its Los Angeles, CA factory. The company prides itself on creating quality products that help address food insecurity and save customers time and money. The Class A Driver is responsible for the transportation of raw materials from various offsite locations to the production facility and finished goods from the facility to multiple local and, in limited cases, regional offsite locations. This role requires operating transportation equipment (tractor, trailer) in compliance with all Food Safety/Defense, GMP, and HACCP standards, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods. This position reports to the Manager of Inventory Control.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ local multi-temp, food delivery/trucking experience.
  • Must be experienced driving a Manual Transmission Tractor.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Valid Class A, CDL license and clean driving record.
  • A “Safety First” mindset.
  • Ability to follow instructions, attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Must have previous experience in operating a stand-up forklift.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience driving a Forklift – Sit-down or Stand-up.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the company’s cold chain related to all temperature-controlled materials and finished goods.
  • Responsible for the safe, timely, accurate, multi-order, multi-location, pick-up and delivery of multi-temp food grade raw materials and finished products.
  • Professional, courteous, helpful interaction with customers, 3PLs, and other offsite locations, in a manner that best represents CRK and Tina’s.
  • Perform daily (shift) inspections to ensure the Company’s tractor and trailers are in exemplary working order, safe order, clean condition (inside and out), while complying with all Food Safety/Defense, GMP, and HACCP standards associated with the transportation of food ingredients and products.
  • Carry and maintain all necessary shipment paperwork (Bill of Lading, packing list, other documents, etc.).
  • Carry and maintain all necessary paperwork to operate all transportation equipment (registration, insurance).
  • Validate each order/load before delivery to ensure it meets quantity, condition, vs. the bill of lading and maintain detailed, comprehensive, delivery log.
  • Safely operate the vehicle in all types of weather conditions, observing all commercial vehicle/driver safety requirements, speed limits, traffic signs, conduct safety when driving.
  • Responsible for familiarity of pick-up and delivery routes.
  • Maintain and return all processed paperwork relating to pick-ups and deliveries (PODs, endorsed Bills of Lading, etc.).
  • Provide excellent customer service relating to all pick-up and deliveries.
