About The Position

The Driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload windows and patio door products to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. The driver will complete all assigned delivery routes, deliver to local construction jobsites, and is responsible for manually offloading product. The driver must address customer questions, issues, and concerns in a professional and timely fashion, represent the company in a professional manner at all times, adhere to company policies and procedures, and complete all delivery and return documentation accurately. The driver will maintain driver logs and inspections, keep equipment in a neat and organized condition, uphold all safety practices according to safety handbook and DOT regulations, and will spend 50% of their time loading/unloading and 50% driving, with one to two nights out on the road.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL A driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be DOT compliant.
  • 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience, including winter driving experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to follow instructions via on-board computer system and by phone.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
