About The Position

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
• 1-2 years of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• 1 year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck) to transport and safely deliver products.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) products to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document, and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
• Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
