About The Position

Garden State Tile is currently seeking an exceptional CDL Class A Overnight Driver to join our TEAM! As a CDL Class A Driver, you are safely and efficiently driving a commercial vehicle to transport product to ensure customer satisfaction and providing the highest level of concierge customer service to every client in a timely and accurate manner. You will unload and load freight off vehicle. Customer service skills are a must. Candidate must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and valid Health Card. Position is based out of our Dayton Distribution Center and transfer deliveries are in NJ and PA. This is a Class A interstate position. Delivery Area: Dayton NJ to Bethlehem PA, to Lancaster PA and return to Dayton NJ. This position offers a competitive base hourly wage range of $27.00 to $30.00 per hour. Garden State Tiles' Distribution Center is equipped with state-of-the-art wireless warehouse technology uses Epicor Prophet 21 technology and is conveniently located on Route 130 in Dayton NJ. The sales service center is open to both trade professionals and the public and is stocked with setting materials, tools, cleaners, sealers and finishing pieces for on-site purchases. Our fleet offers well maintained vehicles with electronic logs and all equipment for loading and off loading. Current scheduling for this position is 5 days a week Monday through Friday 3:30 pm to 12:30 am-ish, No weekends, home every night.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Valid Health Card
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to use a forklift, reach truck, and pallet jack
• Ability to navigate truck maintenance issues during off hours
• Flexibility and a team-oriented attitude
• Diligence in pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

Responsibilities

• Deliver material for transfer between locations in NJ and PA in a safe and sufficient manner.
• Transfer deliveries are done after hours and you will be the unlocking to unload, load and then securing the facility.
• Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks with appropriate equipment.
• Comfortable using a forklift, reach truck and pallet jack.
• Be able to safely navigate issues that may occur during off hours with regard to truck maintenance, has access to a 24 hour roadside assistance call center.
• Strong in running own route to make the most efficient delivery for transfers.
• Willing to be flexible and have a TEAM attitude.
• Be diligent with pre-trip and post-trip process and timely report any issues with vehicles.
• To go above and beyond in providing extreme concierge customer service to all team members.
