About The Position

Full-Time, year round work. Class A CDL with one year of driving experience within the past 3 years required. Why Drive for AFW? HOME WEEKLY with 34-48 hours of home time. Most drivers get 2 days off a week. Average yearly pay is between $75,000 to $100,000 per year, with the ability to make more. Family owned with family values. 75% of our loads are drop and hook; 98% no-touch freight, all trips are pre-planned in advance. We do not depend on another customer's freight to get you home. We haul our own freight. No waiting at truck stops for loads. Out and back! Paid orientation. Dogs are allowed as long as the tractor is kept clean and odor free, no cats. Passenger-friendly. Requirements

• At least 1yr OTR tractor-trailer driving experience in the past 3 years.
• No major FMCSA violations.
• Acceptable MVR and PSP within the last three years.
• Must be able to maintain a CDL.
• Mountain driver a plus.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and the ability to promote awareness.
• Able to perform vehicle pre-trips up to FMCSA standards.
• Ability to operate Electronic Qualcomm Log System.
• Must be willing to chain up during severe weather.
• Must be aware that operations occur on asphalt, concrete and gravel surfaces in a hostile environment often contaminated with material subject to embedding in tires.
• Must function and interact on a routine basis with the AFW management team.
• Communicate using a cellular telephone with dispatch and AFW personnel via McLeod application.
• Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision.
