About The Position

American Furniture Warehouse (AFW) is seeking dedicated and experienced OTR tractor-trailer drivers to join our team. We offer a competitive pay structure with a focus on safety and performance. Our drivers enjoy a home weekly schedule with 34-48 hours of home time, and most drivers receive 2 days off each week. We pride ourselves on our family-owned values and provide a supportive work environment. Our operations are efficient, with 75% of our loads being drop and hook and 98% being no-touch freight. All trips are pre-planned, ensuring that our drivers do not have to wait at truck stops for loads. We haul our own freight, allowing for a more predictable schedule and better home time.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of OTR tractor-trailer driving experience in the past 3 years.
• No major FMCSA violations.
• Acceptable MVR and PSP within the last three years.
• Must be able to maintain a CDL.
• Mountain driving experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Electronic Qualcomm Log System.
• Ability to operate in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and the ability to promote awareness.
• Perform vehicle pre-trips up to FMCSA standards.
• Operate Electronic Qualcomm Log System.
• Be willing to chain up during severe weather conditions.
• Function and interact routinely with the AFW management team.
• Communicate using a cellular telephone with dispatch and AFW personnel via McLeod application.
• Work independently without direct supervision.

Benefits

• 56-58 CPM pay plus mileage.

• 70 hours of sick time per year, plus vacation and personal days.
• Weekly payroll with average yearly pay between $75,000 to $100,000, with potential to earn more.
