About The Position

Position Overview: This role will primarily drive a semi and feed trailer to swine facilities in the tri-state area. They may also drive a semi and hopper at times as business needs arise. This position provides a great opportunity to contribute to the agricultural industry and allows drivers to be home every night. Essential Job Responsibilities Load feed from overhead bins at the feed mill facility. All feed loads will be assigned and designated by the feed mill Load feed products, ingredients, and grain and deliver to the proper destination Transport and deliver product over distances in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner Deliver feed to the correct facility and bin site as designated by paperwork, ensure all feed is unloaded Provide feed receipt tickets to all customers at time of delivery and/or scan QR code to designate feed was delivered Must be able to back in and out of areas and unload feed with auger system Must maintain strict biosecurity including following the “WFR Biosecurity” policy for feed trucks Power-wash trucks, trailers, and disinfect interiors for all trucks driver utilizes, subject to spot inspections May need to climb feed bins as needed Hook and unhook trailers Install and remove tire chains as required by weather Inspect truck and trailer for defects before and after trips Complete all necessary paperwork, maintaining records Deal with delays, change, or unexpected events Put safety at the forefront, following all rules and laws Responsible to appropriately utilize WFR fuel cards Assist with other areas of the business as needed Reasonable Accommodations Statement: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience
  • Must have Class A CDL and valid medical card
  • MVR must pass insurance requirements
  • Will be required to participate in WFR’s drug and alcohol testing program
  • Must have a cell phone with internet capability
  • Ability to drive in a safe manner
  • Ability to follow all laws and regulations
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk and be on feet
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Capable of doing repeated actions
  • Effectively communicate with team members
