About The Position

GENERAL SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Daily pre-trip inspections Operating trucks with standard transmissions including Eaton/Fuller split shift transmissions Loading and unloading equipment on and off trailer. Equipment may include skid loaders, backhoes, pavers and rollers Responsible for reporting any and all problems related to vehicles/equipment to the maintenance department Keeping the interior of the vehicle neat and clean at all times Post trip inspection of truck and reporting of any problems with truck equipment Work with the maintenance department to identify potential vehicle/equipment problems and to work with the shop mechanics to keep vehicles/equipment in good working order Getting equipment to the job site on schedule, understanding site location and driving directions To assist the crew as a laborer on the job as instructed by the foreman To maintain the vehicle that is assigned to you Fueling the truck at the end of the day (not in the morning) Return keys to the proper location Ability to operate Elgin Sweeper / will train

Requirements

  • Class A
  • Medical DOT card
  • OSHA 10+ training
  • Must abide by all safety policies
  • Be able to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and stooping-bending up to 80lbs several hours a day
  • Be able to stand or sit several hours a day
  • Be able to work the snow season

Nice To Haves

  • Hoisting License a plus
