About The Position

Southwest Mobile Storage in Rancho Cucamonga is looking for an expert CDL-A driver. You are the eyes, ears and heart of our business, connecting operations and sales to provide the best service to our customers. We’re a team-oriented company, so there will be times when you’ll be asked to adjust your route or delivery schedule and use your own independent judgement.

Requirements

Must be able to drive a 10-speed manual transmission.
2 years’ recent CDL Class A experience
Valid medical certificate and physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
At least 21 years of age
Must possess good dexterity in shoulders, lower back and knees.
High school diploma or GED
Authorized for employment in the U.S. (sponsorships not available, E-Verify employer)
Ability to pass 10 panel drug tests
Ability to pass a thorough background screening and MVR

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with a heavy duty 10-wheel rollback winch truck with hydraulic tilt bed a plus
Towing experience a plus
Landoll trailer experience helpful

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition and report any defects to dispatch or management.
Follow designated routes to ensure timely delivery and pickup of containers.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding delivery/pickup details and handle C.O.D. payments when applicable.
Complete daily logs and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) to comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
Safely operate a commercial vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs and towing capacity exceeding 10,000 lbs.
Handle and transport containers securely, ensuring safety during transport.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, refueling, and tire checks, to keep the vehicle running efficiently.
Maintain open communication with dispatch to update delivery status and ensure timely service.
Other duties as assigned by management.
