Class A CDL Delivery & Loading Specialist
About The Position
As our Class A CDL Delivery & Loading Specialist, you’ll be right in the action—handling both the loading and detailed preparation of pools at our Millville distribution center and helping making deliveries throughout the Northeastern United States. You’ll drive a company-provided truck (with all necessary equipment and back-office support), assist with loading/unloading, and perform detailing and minor repairs so our products create lasting memories for families. You’ll could be on the road 2–4 times per week, with infrequent overnight stays. We’ve got you covered with meal per diem, hotel coverage (when needed), and fuel reimbursement. We just need your experienced and safe driving skills—plus your attention to detail on the ground—to help bring those smiles to our customers!
Requirements
- Current unrestricted Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) held for 2+ years, with ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- 6+ months oversized load experience
- Current TWIC card and unexpired passport
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening, DOT physical, and provide a current medical certificate
- Ability to sit for extended periods, lift a minimum of 75 lbs., climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong safety focus and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with dispatch, pilot car drivers, and team members
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks under time pressure
- Knowledge of chemical handling and DOT regulations
- Commitment to providing great customer experiences every day
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating power tools (grinders, buffers, saws, sanders) and basic fiberglass/gelcoat repair (preferred)
- Experience operating lift trucks, cranes, or Telehander lifts (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload fiberglass swimming pools and equipment using Telehandlers and other tools
- Drive and maintain an Class A truck for oversized load deliveries primarily throughout the Northeastern United States
- Assist in route planning, pilot car drivers arrangements, and customers, and ensure timely deliveries
- Comply with all DOT regulations, oversized load rules, company policies, and maintain accurate ELD/documentation
- Document inspections, repairs, deliveries, fuel, tolls, and maintenance records (both hard copy and electronic)
- Perform refueling, cleaning, preventative maintenance, and vehicle inspections; report mechanical or safety issues promptly
- Inspect, detail, and perform minor repairs on fiberglass pools in preparation for shipment
- Ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and safe after each shift
- Support monthly inventory counts
- Handle chemicals safely, dispose of waste properly, and maintain a strong safety focus at all times
