About The Position

PACE Supply is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Class 4 Driver to join our team in Kahului, Hawaii! Position OverviewAs a Class 4 Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of materials to our customers throughout the region. You’ll represent PACE Supply on the road and at delivery sites, making professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety essential in this role.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with opportunities for overtime.

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License with no more than 3 points and knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Friendly, professional, and respectful when interacting with clients.
• Committed to safe driving practices and daily vehicle inspections.
• Able to load/unload materials and assist with deliveries as needed.
• A high school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred, though a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge for successful job performance will qualify.
• Must possess a valid Class 4 Hawaii Drivers License and be at least 21 years of age.
• A driving record with no more than 3 points is required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate and be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience operating commercial vehicles and/or relevant training.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Solid knowledge of commercial driving laws and regulations, including safety procedures and accident protocols.
• Physically capable of long driving hours and regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work a Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility for overtime as needed.
• Basic proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to group, sort, and sequence items effectively (e.g., by size, alphabetically, or numerically).

Nice To Haves

• Prior delivery experience in wholesale or warehouse environments is strongly preferred.
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Route Planning: Strategically plan delivery routes, taking into account traffic, weather, and road conditions to ensure timely deliveries.
• Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring items are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Vehicle Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical or safety issues, ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy.
• Communication: Coordinate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules, adjust for changes, and provide updates as needed.
• Documentation Management: Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required documentation, ensuring all records are compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to hours-of-service regulations, taking required breaks to ensure compliance with safety standards and avoid fatigue-related risks.
• Vehicle Security: Ensure that the vehicle and its cargo are properly secured and safe for operation at all times.
• Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to ensure vehicles remain in optimal operating condition.
• Vehicle Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out, to uphold a professional appearance and ensure safety.
