About The Position

The Clamp Truck Operator on the 3rd shift plays a critical role in the efficient handling and transportation of materials within a non-durable goods manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for operating clamp trucks to move, stack, and organize products and raw materials safely and accurately throughout the production and storage areas. The operator ensures that materials are delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner, supporting continuous production flow and inventory management. Attention to safety protocols and equipment maintenance is essential to prevent accidents and minimize downtime. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall productivity and operational success of the manufacturing plant during overnight hours.

Requirements

  • Valid forklift or clamp truck operator certification or license.
  • Previous experience operating clamp trucks or similar material handling equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Ability to work the 3rd shift schedule reliably and consistently.
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations related to material handling and equipment operation.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and maneuvering equipment for extended periods.

  • Experience working in non-durable goods manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and production workflows.
  • Additional certifications related to workplace safety or equipment operation.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Operate clamp trucks to transport, load, and unload materials within the facility according to production schedules and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect clamp truck equipment before and after shifts to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Organize and stack products and raw materials in designated storage areas to maximize space utilization and maintain order.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to coordinate material movement and support manufacturing processes.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for self and coworkers.
