Job Summary: The primary duty of a clamp truck operator is to operate the equipment with precision, using the hydraulic clamps to lift and move materials. The driver also navigates the equipment in tight spaces and position the clamps to grip and transport the materials safely and securely. The driver moves materials from one location to another and stacks them in an organized and safe manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Clamp truck experience – minimum 1 year
  • Standup order picker experience – minimum 1 year
  • Good troubleshooting, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions
  • Frequent long hours, 12-hour days
  • Ability to lift 60lbs. on a regular basis
  • Willing to work all shifts
  • Hearing protection and gloves

Nice To Haves

  • Previous industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that inventory is properly managed and accounted for, maintain accurate records of the materials moved and stacked, including the quantity, location and any other relevant information.
  • Ensure all paper stock is received and available for continuous press operation.
  • Receive and unload various types of product.
  • Receive all product accurately using the EDI System or by using the scan gun on the clamp truck.
  • Move materials from one location to another and stack them in an organized and safe manner.
  • Pull and stage ship out orders.
  • Conduct DAILY maintenance & Inspections to ensure the clamp truck is in working order and fluids are full.
  • Effective communication with other team members to ensure efficient warehouse coordination.
  • Ensure no product is damaged in warehouse.
  • Notate any damaged material, take pictures and alert supervision.
  • Make sure all unused paper is properly reversed back into inventory and properly stored.
  • Be familiar with and practice FIFO (First in-First Out).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
