Receiving deliveries of starch and related chemicals, verifying the quantity and condition against invoices or packing slips Unloading incoming materials and safely transporting them to the proper storage locations within the plant Ensuring appropriate handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain the quality and integrity of the starch, considering factors like temperature and humidity control Maintaining accurate inventory records of starch and related supplies, potentially utilizing a warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory software Monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations Transporting materials (including starch) to production areas as needed to ensure a continuous workflow Ensuring materials are properly prepared and kitted before sending them to production line Safely and efficiently operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment Performing preventative maintenance checks on equipment Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, such as OSHA standards. Keeping the warehouse area clean, neat, and orderly Implementing space-saving solutions like narrow aisle racking for efficient organization Other duties as assigned by management
