Responsibilities
Closely tracks and reports on cargo claims files as they develop.
Keeps and maintains records in an up-to-date and organized fashion, to ensure that the latest information is available for review by company personnel.
Engages with customers, vendors, and colleagues both in the United States and abroad to maintain the flow of communication.
Tracks, enforces, and gives notice of strict deadlines.
Monitors claims files for unusual circumstances which may require escalation within the company.
Pursues collections against outside parties.
Understands complex fact patterns and reduces them into easily-absorbed written summaries.
Processes payables and receivables relating to marine cargo claims.
Performs other duties as assigned.
