About The Position

The Claims Telephonic Initiation Representative will join the Claimant Excellence Team at Lincoln Financial Group, providing support for disability and FMLA claims in a remote environment. This role involves being the first point of contact for claimants, educating them on their claims, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The position includes several weeks of paid training and offers a defined career path with opportunities for professional development.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0-1+ years of administrative support, customer service, and/or data entry experience
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Internet bandwidth of at least 12 Mbps.

• Data entry and research experience in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maneuver through multiple systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer claimant calls regarding disability and FMLA claims in a call center environment.
• Initiate claims or leaves to provide a positive customer experience.
• Educate customers on their claim or leave needs and advise on next steps in the process.
• Communicate with approximately 50-60 customers daily, utilizing multiple applications and platforms.
• Provide detailed information regarding FMLA and disability products to customers and employers.
• Communicate effectively through email and phone with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance team performance.
