About The Position

The Claims Support Representative is responsible for providing administrative and customer service support to the claims department. This role ensures the efficient processing of claims by assisting claims examiners, policyholders, and beneficiaries with inquiries, documentation, and claim-related tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in insurance claims, customer service, or administrative roles is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and claims processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding insurance claims, policies, and procedures with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Guide customers through the claims filing process, ensuring they understand required documentation and deadlines.
  • Assist with the initial intake of claims, verifying that all submitted documents are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare correspondence, including follow-up letters, to maintain timely and accurate updates to claim files.
  • Identify discrepancies in documentation and escalate issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of customer interactions and claim information in the system.
  • Perform additional administrative support tasks as needed to enhance claim processing efficiency.
