This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Windsor, CT for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

Requirements

  • State of Connecticut Resident
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 - 4 years of related experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Current knowledge of the absence management industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists claims team partners by leveraging systems and documented processes to complete the initial eligibility verification on all new claims filed.
  • Maintains ownership of client specific email box to ensure timely processing of incoming mail and the creation of new claims as needed.
  • Researches outstanding items to resolution.
  • Prints and mails communications as needed.
  • Builds effective working relationships with internal partner teams.
  • Reviews daily and weekly reports to ensure accuracy of assigned work items.
  • Remains current on customer service policies and procedures.
  • Prioritizes multiple tasks and works independently to some degree.
  • Supports management with special projects as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
