About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Claims Specialist to support auto and workers’ compensation claims during a short-term coverage period. Under the guidance of a manager, this role will handle a variety of specialized and analytical claims-related tasks, including monitoring, coordinating, and processing claims while maintaining thorough documentation. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience managing and processing claims
  • Experience in auto and/or workers’ compensation claims
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in data entry and claims analysis
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively

  • Experience with claims systems and reporting tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience supporting escalated or complex claims

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process workers’ compensation and auto claims, including bodily injury, physical damage, property damage, and liability
  • Monitor claims activity across multiple systems and ensure timely updates
  • Act as a subject matter expert on workers’ comp and auto claims, advising on applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct interviews with injured employees and verify job-related incidents with supervisors
  • Maintain detailed case documentation, claim files, correspondence, and OSHA records
  • Respond to inquiries from employees, TPAs, medical providers, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Track and record leave related to workers’ comp benefits; coordinate with payroll and HR for adjustments
  • Review claims and collaborate with claim consultants to ensure reserve accuracy within authority limits
  • Prepare account status reports and support escalated or complex claims issues as needed
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, or trainings to stay current on industry practices
