The Claims Service Specialist role is a dynamic opportunity to assist customers during challenging times. Specialists act as advocates, interacting directly with individuals who have experienced a loss, inspecting damage, and meticulously investigating all documentation to ensure accuracy and fairness. Key responsibilities include verifying claim facts, determining coverage, liability, and reserves, and accurately reporting on settlements. They are skilled negotiators, handling settlements with individuals, attorneys, and other insurance carriers professionally. Specialists are also responsible for maintaining well-written files and keeping their teams informed on current claims. Comprehensive training is provided for individuals new to the insurance industry, requiring only strong customer service and communication skills.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Talk directly with people who have recently experienced a loss
  • Inspect the damage
  • Investigate all documentation to ensure each detail is recorded accurately and fairly
  • Thoroughly check claim case facts
  • Determine coverage, liability and reserves
  • Accurately report on each settlement
  • Negotiate settlements with individuals, attorneys, and other insurance carriers with poise and professionalism
  • Prepare and maintain well-written files
  • Keep their teams up-to-date on current claims
