About The Position

Participates in the processing of insurance claims by performing the following administrative duties. The essential duties and responsibilities include reviewing insurance claim forms and related documents (e.g., medical records) for required information, entering new claim setup information into the claims management system (ClaimsXPress), maintaining existing files in the claims management system, printing and preparing outgoing letters and forms on behalf of claims adjusters, scanning and sorting incoming daily mail, paying claim-related expenses as authorized, handling incoming calls, making outgoing calls as specifically required, assisting Claims Support Specialists with special research and daily projects as needed, assisting Team Leads with special training projects as needed, executing special projects for adjusters and supervisors as needed, including file research and preparation, and executing temporary and ongoing special projects for clients, including client requests for dedicated assistance and accessing client systems in order to process payments or carry out other clerical work.

Requirements

  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills are required; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience working in claims, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, is preferred.
  • A current and valid driver’s license within the state of practice is required.

Responsibilities

  • Review insurance claim forms and related documents for required information.
