About The Position

The claims representative position includes the administration, settlement and recovery efforts for claims as well as assigning appropriate training to employees for preventable incidents or accidents.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in field related to specialized functional area required
• Associate's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Investigate and process assigned claims
• Interview driver and claimant (if applicable) to gather pertinent information
• Examine photographs and statements
• Obtain police reports
• Obtain estimates of damages
• Listen to or watch audio or video surveillance
• Record data and statements in report
• Determine liability
• Assign appropriate training to employee for claims determined to be preventable
• Negotiate with claimant to settle claim
• Issue payout amounts once approved
• Prepare and present claims to insurance companies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
