About the position
Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for an experienced Inside Property Claims Professional to join our Claims Team. This position has the opportunity to be fully remote or to work a hybrid schedule. The right candidate will handle off-site investigations of claims to determine coverage, liability, damages and resolution. As an Inside Property Claims Representative II with Indiana Farmers Insurance, you will support our vision by driving prompt and fair claims resolutions.
Responsibilities
- Handle off-site investigations of claims to determine coverage, liability, damages and resolution.
- Write structural property estimates, utilizing virtual inspection tools and/or AI generated scoping of damage platforms.
- Identify, investigate, and refer potentially fraudulent claims.
- Read and interpret policies and endorsements.
- Assess claims fairly and accurately according to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Demonstrate effective and positive interpersonal communication skills.
Requirements
- College degree required or related work experience.
- Three - Five years relevant work experience or equivalent.
- Experience and expertise in writing structural property estimates.
- Professional designation (CPCU, CSLA, AIC, etc.), strongly preferred.
- Solid problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with virtual inspection tools and AI generated scoping of damage platforms.
- Ability to cope with difficult individuals and situations.
