About The Position

This Bodily Injury claims representative role involves reviewing and applying coverage, conducting thorough investigation to determine liability, assessing damages and interpreting medical records to resolve injury claims in KS, MO, IL and if licensed, OK. How does this role make an impact? - Investigates claims by determining applicable policy coverage, evaluates, negotiates and settles assigned claims with a focus on Bodily Injury, state statutes and laws - Initiates contact with insureds, claimants, and all relevant parties to gather basic information, obtain recorded statements (when necessary), and explain the overall claims process. - Evaluates damages and prepares written estimates according to policy provisions and liability.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
  • Requires a highly developed oral and written communication skills to communicate and independently negotiate successful outcomes with a wide variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Maintains the appropriate adjuster's licensing as required by the states in which we do business.
  • Must possess the ability to handle conflict effectively and constructively.
  • Must be able to work independently without an inordinate amount of supervision or management involvement.
  • Excellent decision making, analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintains the appropriate Adjusters licensing as required by the states in which we do business.
  • Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate.
