This job is in the Aviation Insurance Claims Operations Team – Aviation is a very exciting area of the insurance world. The claims can be aircraft damage (airplane, helicopter, space related, etc.), bodily injury, or property damage, etc. This role supports our claims managers, coordinates system issues, and creates advanced MS Excel reports for Insureds, Brokers, and Upper Management.

Requirements

  • College Graduate Preferred in Accounting, Statistics, Math, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Extremely proficient with Excel and calculating numbers using percentages.
  • Claims experience would be helpful.
  • Very organized with good time management skills.
  • Professional communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Support claims managers including following the claim from beginning to final resolution.
  • Make payments and set up claims in our claims system.
  • Send acknowledgment and closing letters, redact policies, export claim files.
  • Handle collections related to coinsurance, deductibles, and SIRs.
  • Research funds received by accounting.
  • Assist with Large Payment Notices and Cash Calls to the accounting group as needed.
  • Monitor the new claim inbox and assign claims to claims managers.
  • Resolve system errors on the daily error reports from both our claims system and other systems.
  • Assist with Medicare reporting via the claims system using ISO searches as needed and resolve any errors.
  • Produce reports for insureds, brokers, underwriters, etc. at the end of the month and as requested.
  • Track and invoice deductible and SIRs, involving advanced/heavy MS Excel with pivot tables, if statements, and vlookups.
  • Act as IT coordinator for the team for troubleshooting and system enhancements and testing.
  • Complete and load coinsurance treaties in claims system.
  • Prepare weekly audit reports and analysis.
  • Resolve policy import errors.
