At Baldor, the Claims Manager plays a crucial role in developing and overseeing the company's claim handling strategy. This position is responsible for all aspects of claim processing and management activities, serving as the primary point of contact between the company and its customers. The Claims Manager ensures that claims are processed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner, providing guidance and support throughout the process. The role requires a thorough understanding of insurance-related legal procedures, regulations, and claims processing, as well as the ability to create and interpret data analytics reports to monitor the success of the Workers' Compensation program. The Claims Manager will coordinate and oversee claim management strategies, focusing on reserving, settlement, and resolution to bring claims to closure. This includes developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of the claims management process. The position also involves improving internal claims management procedures to achieve these KPIs and monitoring the performance of third-party administrators (TPAs). The Claims Manager will communicate with various stakeholders, including safety teams, to identify and reduce adverse claim trends, and will coordinate quarterly claim reviews with TPAs or carriers for managed claims. Additionally, the Claims Manager will support the development of an internal active diary system for managing Workers' Compensation claims and will oversee return-to-work activities with internal and external partners. This role requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the overall success of the team. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred, along with strong technology skills, including experience with RMIS systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
