Under the supervision of the Director of Claims, the Claims Manager oversees the day-to-day administrative management of claims and is responsible for strategic oversight of medical malpractice liability claims on behalf of USACS. This position is remote and involves reviewing and analyzing incidents and claims, serving as the initial point of contact for Physicians and APPs impacted by litigation, and coordinating in-house New Claims Analysis for all incoming claims. The Claims Manager collaborates with TPA or commercial adjusters for defense counsel retention and medical expert assignment, oversees day-to-day claims management, and is responsible for keeping timely and accurate claims records. The role also includes making strategic recommendations for case management and working actively with Defense Counsel to prepare for mediations and trials.
