About The Position

Must be able to travel to our office on Gunn Hwy, FL 33618 during the training period. Job Summary Manages a pending caseload of low to moderate severity and complexity homeowners claims in a team environment. Ensures prompt, effective, and courteous handling of all claims to policyholders and claimants with special emphasis on complying with appropriate guidelines.

Requirements

  • Valid Adjuster’s license; Safepoint will train employee in all facets of claims adjusting. License required for Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama
  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A combination of education and significant directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • At least 2-3 years of experience processing personal property and/or liability claims
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to think critically, research, and evaluate coverage on assigned claims and determine appropriate settlement values
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal departments and direct reports, and external vendors, stakeholders, and policyholders
  • Ability to manage internal Claims Systems and maintain data
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to offer exceptional customer service

Responsibilities

  • Interview and correspond with policyholders, public adjusters, and attorneys, while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Examine claim forms and records to determine coverage
  • Responsible for all phases of property claims adjusting
  • Manage and direct field adjusters and vendors
  • Review case reserves on all assigned claim files to cover probable costs
  • Approve or deny adjuster and contractor estimates of damage and loss amounts
  • Prepare written reports of investigation, coverage, and damages within the CFMS
  • Negotiate and settle claims within authority
  • Draft denial letters for Claim Manager or Supervisor review
  • Direct defense counsel on files and manage expenses
  • Investigate and pursue subrogation opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and complete files
  • Handle claims in the Gulf Coast region
  • Other tasks, projects, and duties as assigned
