About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Claims Examiner I. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and investigating basic insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution in compliance with legal and company standards. You will evaluate coverage and liability, gather and analyze relevant documentation, and make recommendations on settlements within your authority.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Performs standard duties utilizing routine procedures on assignments of low complexity or of a repetitive nature.
  • Possesses procedural knowledge and skills that enable task accomplishment.
  • Performs work under close supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Examines and maintains basic claims:
  • Reviews and evaluates coverage and/or liability.
  • Secures and analyzes necessary information (i.e., reports, policies, appraisals, statements, records or other documents) to assist in the processing of claim payments.
  • Ensures that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensures claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statues, regulations and other legal requirements, and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
