Job Summary: The Claims Disbursement Specialist will be responsible for processing and printing claims checks for our clients. They will also be responsible for monitoring client escrow funds, recording funds receipts, refunds, voids and stop payment requests. This job requires attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Print checks for clients on a daily basis
  • Communicate with claims as needed
  • Process voids and stop payments
  • Monitor and communicate with clients to ensure accounts are adequately funded
  • Process positive pay files with banks
  • Research, deposit, and record refunds and overpayments
  • Process paperwork, deposit and record all third-party recoverable checks
  • Prepare and send transaction and reconciliation reports as required by client
  • Evaluate processes and controls to ensure all checks are printed, no duplicate checks are printed, and all checks are mailed in a timely manner
  • Process ACH debit/credit transactions
  • Evaluate future utilization of Electronic Funds Transfer to providers and claimants.
  • Ability to reconcile payments to month end reports
  • Other duties as assigned
