The Claims Data Solutions Sr. Analyst will report to VP, Claims Data Solutions and Insights. This is a crucial role to the delivery of claims operational and data transformation solutions.

  • Bring a distinct data consumer prospective to ensure that business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting requirements are effectively fulfilled. This encompasses a comprehensive understanding of how claims data flow into, within, and outside claims systems, along with the intended use, dependencies, and impacts as well as a strong understanding of business processes and their associations with source system and/or vendor data.
  • Identify and propose essential data elements necessary to support the company's business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting needs and ensure they are captured with precision, completeness, consistency.
  • Act as Product Owner to develop meaningful data products for various use cases based on business priorities and anticipated impact.
  • Document business requirements and clearly articulate the business benefits.
  • Apply analytical techniques to analyze and interpret intricate data sets, extracting meaningful insights that can support informed decision-making processes.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in disciplines such as Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields
  • Experience in P&C Insurance industry, Claim experience a plus
  • 7+ years' experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence focusing on driving business decision-making, with a strong track record that demonstrates the ability to implement data-driven solutions and deliver tangible and measurable business impacts.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for exploring the potential of data and the strategic insights derived from it. Enthusiasm for delving into data, analyzing it to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tell the data stories to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of agile software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in one of the following: SQL, R or Python
  • Working knowledge of QlikSense, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus
  • Understanding of basic AI/ML principles
