About The Position

BITCO Corporation, a leading provider of specialized insurance solutions is seeking a Claims Support Associate for our home office located in Davenport IA. With a strong national presence and 11 branch offices in 10 states, BITCO delivers tailored insurance services to specialized industries including construction, forest products and oil & gas. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with required business travel to BITCO office locations and customer offices.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a professional office environment
• Prior experience in the insurance industry preferred
• Strong ability to multitask and manage time-sensitive responsibilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Responsive to customer needs with a demonstrated sense of urgency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Flexibility to work shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Assists customers with claim reporting and claim-related inquiries, both verbally and electronically
• Performs data entry in the claims system, including claim setup, payment processing, reserve changes, and claim closures
• Uploads documentation to Laserfiche to support audit and compliance requirements
• Prepares reports, forms, correspondence, and other file documentation
• Processes incoming and outgoing mail for all departments
• Utilizes various software systems to enter, access, and retrieve data
• Provides administrative support to Claims department staff as needed
• Completes additional tasks and special projects as assigned
