About The Position

Kin is seeking an Auto Claims Supervisor with auto claims experience to join our growing team. Because we tackle insurance differently, we want you to draw on your expertise in auto claims while helping us to continue to innovate on behalf of Kin’s customers and our stakeholders. In this role, you will manage a team consisting of 5-7 claims adjusters. This inventory will be composed of claims ranging from glass and towing claims, to litigated bodily injury claims. You will ensure your team runs smoothly and efficiently by developing goals, educating on company strategies, and implementing procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years auto claims experience; claims Leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience handling Attorney Represented injury and PIP/Medpay claims
  • Ability to lead and empower an experienced team of adjusters and senior adjusters
  • Experience creating, defining and delivering training to a wide range of auto adjusters and auto support staff.
  • Comfort communicating expectations and delivering results overseeing a team consisting of both staff and TPA adjusters.
  • Specific focus on ensuring the best possible customer experience from FNOL through claim resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities for coaching, training, and mentoring with the goal of stimulating growth and performance improvement
  • Monitoring attendance, managing leave, and enforcing company policies and core values
  • Communicating with customers, vendors and co-workers in virtual, office, and field environments
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of individual and team metrics
  • Responsible for analyzing data, recognizing trends and problem solving. Implementing and monitoring resolutions
  • Preparing and maintaining compliance and process documentation, including but not limited to: job aids, DOI responses, best practices and guidelines, and data tracking resources
  • Collaborating with other departments within the company to identify opportunities, calibrate, and make strategic decisions, and
  • Holding their team accountable for the quality of work through consistent oversight, daily review, and active involvement in claims. Including, but not limited to: analyzing coverage, policy interpretation, estimate review, compliance review, and giving direction as needed.
