About The Position

The Claims Associate at Express Seed Company plays a vital role in supporting both our customer service and accounting operations. Requirements

• Associate's degree in a finance related field preferred or relevant experience required
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and accounting principles
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem solving
• 2-3+ years of experience in a high transactional volume environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to work well in a team and cross-functionally in a business environment with seasonal peaks
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite
• Data entry experience

Responsibilities

• Facilitate, enter, and ensure resolution of all customer and vendor claims within specified vendor time frames
• Effectively communicate the status of claims internally with Customer Service Representatives, Sales Representatives, and the Business Operations team, as well as externally with customers and vendors
• Ensure that all information and documentation needed for a claim is received
• Ability to handle seasonal volume peaks in a timely manner
• Commitment to providing the best service and support to our trading partners
• Performs other accounting duties as assigned during off season
• All other duties as assigned
