Davies is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Claims Assistant to support the handling of Property & Casualty claims. This role plays a critical part in ensuring claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and client requirements. The Claims Assistant works closely with Claims Adjusters, clients, and external partners to support the full lifecycle of a claim. Candidates must be able to report in-office at Reno, NV location to be considered for this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of claims, insurance, or administrative experience preferred
  • Nevada residency required
  • Prior experience in claims administration or insurance support preferred
  • Working knowledge of Property & Casualty claims processes
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Proficiency in claims systems and standard office software (e.g., MS Office)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Professional discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving systems and processes

Nice To Haves

  • Nevada insurance license a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and technical support to Claims Adjusters on assigned caseloads
  • Assist with claim setup, documentation, and file maintenance
  • Review, process, and upload incoming claim correspondence, medical records, and legal documents
  • Monitor claim diaries and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution
  • Coordinate communications with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and internal teams
  • Support litigation files by tracking deadlines, hearings, and legal documentation
  • Prepare routine reports, letters, and claim summaries as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client guidelines, and state regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate, organized electronic claim files
  • Adhere to Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
