As an insurance trainee, you'll learn the necessary skills to become one of our claims adjusters who work to support individuals and families as they get back on their feet after workplace accidents, providing peace of mind and stability to countless community members. Your work ensures that those you serve receive timely support and fair resolutions, making a meaningful impact when they need it most!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
  • Incident investigation, strong customer service, report writing
  • 0+ years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • To be eligible for this 12-week program, you must be available to temporarily relocate to our headquarters in Austin, Texas for up to eight weeks of training starting April 6,2026.
  • All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a full-time, comprehensive training program (up to 12 weeks, primarily in-person) designed to prepare you for a career as an insurance professional.
  • Successfully complete the Texas Worker's Compensation licensing class and subsequent exam.
  • Communicate, educate, and assist injured employees in navigating the workers' compensation system.
  • Collaborate with the policyholder, provider, and injured employee to ensure quality care and a return to productive life.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and proper claim handling.
  • Efficiently resolve assigned caseload adhering to guidelines as determined by the state and internal guidelines.
  • Evaluate claims for coverage, compensability, and benefit determination.
  • Accurately deliver benefits within pre-determined timelines.
  • Handle new claims and manage an assigned caseload, emphasizing effective resolution strategies and optimal results
