About The Position

The Claims Adjuster Trainee position at Alfa Insurance involves handling property and casualty claims efficiently and accurately. Requirements

• 4-year bachelor's degree or 2 years as an Adjuster in lieu of degree, or 3 years in automobile repair, home and/or commercial construction, law enforcement, or auto and/or property estimating.
• AIC certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Computer skills with Excel and Word preferred.
• Background in automobiles, home construction, or law is helpful.
• Ability to perform physically demanding job functions, including carrying a ladder over fifty pounds, climbing ladders, and crawling under houses/cars.
• Ability to work in adverse weather and conditions, with some extended stays away from home.

Responsibilities

• Handle all assigned company property and casualty claims efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain the company standard of professional claims handling, providing fast and fair claims service with minimal customer complaints.
• Contribute to the financial planning of the company through adequate reserving and control of expenses.
• Assure control of claimants and insured to avoid lawsuits.
