About The Position

The Claim Service Associate (CSA) serves as the primary contact for new loss information and general claim inquiries from insureds and agents. This role is crucial in coordinating the classification and assignment of new losses reported to the claims office, ensuring that new loss claims are established in the NetCore system while confirming the appropriate policy and coverage match for insureds. The CSA is also responsible for managing all deposition-only and licensing board proceeding files, providing a vital point of contact for responding to general calls and inquiries received in the claims department. Additionally, the CSA tracks and coordinates new losses and establishes files in the legacy system, independently managing deposition and licensing board proceeding matters as needed. The essential duties and responsibilities of the CSA include responding to general claim questions and inquiries, assessing new loss notices for proper classification and handling, and evaluating first notices of loss while following up for further information as necessary. The CSA determines policy information for losses, initiates the creation of claim files in NetCore, and refers cases to the appropriate manager for finalizing file setup and claim consultant assignment. Maintaining an accurate and current database of claim assignments is also a key responsibility, along with managing deposition files when the underlying matter does not involve Coverys insured. The CSA confirms coverage for licensing board proceeding matters, establishes licensing board proceeding files, and serves as a resource for insureds regarding these files. Furthermore, the CSA reviews and approves expense invoices for payment, identifies and creates incident files, and collaborates with Risk Management to identify trends in incidents and make appropriate referrals. Correspondence with insureds, agents, and defense attorneys is also part of the role.
