We’re seeking a Claims Rejections Specialist to join us. This is a remote position. As a Claim Rejections Specialist, you will be responsible for directly supporting the needs of the medical billing/clearinghouse business. This position requires the coordination across internal and external partners, including clients. You will be responsible for performing the appropriate steps or actions needed to reprocess rejected claims, complete inquiries with carriers to resolve issues, and address inquiries from other departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work under deadlines and in high volume conditions
  • Proficient MS Office skills
  • Excellent written communications and organizational skills
  • Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible mentality; willing and capable of performing varied tasks and adapting to change
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently while prioritizing your workload
  • Professionally exercises discretion and independent judgment in day-to-day work

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and understanding of medical billing highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve rejected claim filing issues
  • Submit corrected claims to appropriate carriers / clearinghouses
  • Communicate identified issues with internal Zotec employees
  • Respond professionally to emails from management regarding client A/R issues
  • Review provider and client setups to identify and notify the appropriate team to correct the issue
  • Follow up on issues consistently until they are resolved
  • Communicate with internal partners and outside carriers / clearinghouses to research issues and gather information to resolve rejections
  • Respond with appropriate urgency when inquiries are received
  • Utilize problem solving, organizational, and priority management skills
  • Complete all other duties as assigned
