Job Summary The Claim Assistant provides administrative support for a dedicated account handling Oklahoma workers’ compensation claims . This role is critical in ensuring timely file setup, accurate documentation, and dependable support for the adjusting team.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or two (2) years of related business experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Reliability and consistent attendance within client service hours
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in insurance, workers’ compensation, claims, or administrative support
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Customer service or call-handling experience
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Send out light‑duty letters and required claim correspondence.
  • Enter new claims into the claims system with complete and accurate data.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to adjusters and client service teams.
  • Maintain claim documentation, filing, and electronic record organization.
  • Answer and route incoming calls; return provider or stakeholder calls as appropriate.
  • Manage task queues, follow up on outstanding items, and maintain accurate diary entries.
  • Summarize and upload documentation, correspondence, and medical records as directed.
  • Assist with claim file setup and initial processing steps for new losses.
  • Support the team in meeting client service standards and requirements.
