About The Position

Supervises and oversees activities of staff; coordinating department activity. Conducts periodic performance reviews; provide on-going training, development goals and motivation. Performs a variety of loan processing and administrative activities in support of the commercial lending department in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures. Responsible for gathering, interpreting and preparing legal documents, forms and reports. Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines and maintains commercial compliance procedures. Performs functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and the community in which it serves.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required with (5) five to (7) seven years of relevant banking or financial services experience including working knowledge of accounting, finance, and the loan servicing areas.
  • Knowledge and comprehension of the commercial lending policies, procedures and basic commercial loan underwriting skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of loan documents and regulations and reporting requirements applicable to commercial transactions.
  • Must be detail oriented and demonstrate good organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must have PC computer skills including the Internet and Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee activities of department staff and work as necessary.
  • Conducts periodic performance reviews; provide on-going training, development goals and motivation.
  • Responsible for gathering, interpreting and preparing a number of legal documents, forms and reports.
  • Monitor and/or oversee and backup commercial LOS (Abrigo) and Loan Documentor (TruStage)
  • Provide ongoing customer service and documentation support on all commercial loan accounts, providing professional and efficient service to external and internal customers to ensure accuracy, avoid losses and reduce undue risk.
  • Develop forms and documents for use by CLA’s and other commercial lending areas as needed for the processing of commercial loan requests to closing.
  • Monitor and/or oversee and backup tracking reports put in place for pending items, general ledger reconciliation of collected fees and expenses.
  • Maintain the integrity of the input into the document imaging system, Integra, for the commercial department (quarterly tech meetings).
  • Monitor and/or oversee and backup email daily lender/customer advance requests for completion. Responds to customer inquiries orally or in writing as required, i.e., research request follow-up.
  • Responsible for the overall department communications, i.e., maintaining and disbursing SBA updates, department meetings and regulations and system changes.
  • Ensures that department work is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in bank policies, and Quarterly and Annual meetings; monitor Continuity software updates
  • Stay informed on compliance relative to the commercial lending responsibilities and implement processes as required to ensure staff is trained and up to date. Attend seminars, courses and educational programs to advance knowledge and skills.; Develop and maintain department procedures; Member of Commercial Solutions Task Force group to facilitate communications to the Chief Lending Officer from all bank input.
