About The Position
The Special Education Instructional Aide II assists certificated teachers in the instruction, supervision, training, and personal care needs of individual or groups of students. This role involves performing a variety of instructional support activities to maintain an effective learning environment, including clerical duties. The position requires a high degree of positive contact with both students and certificated staff, and assignments may occur in various educational settings, including Resource Specialist Programs and Special Day Classes. Under the supervision of a credentialed school nurse, the aide provides specialized health care procedures to specific disabled students.
