Our Commercial Lines Operations department is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our growing team out of our Worcester, MA location. Position is eligible for Hybrid/Flex work arrangement. This is a Full-time, Exempt role. Incumbents serving in the Business Analysis job family are responsible for the collection, development, analysis, documentation, and communication of business needs and requirements. Throughout an assignment, Business Analysts will act as a liaison while they interface and work collaboratively with technology and business organizations. Business Analysts are expected to use their working understanding of information systems, business operations, and processes to analyze requirements, develop specifications, storyboarding and prototyping to facilitate the design of integrated solutions. Their knowledge of business analysis, business processes and project methodologies are applied to all their assignments. Incumbents in this job family must have a solid understanding of their business partners existing business processes, key drivers, and measures of success for the business, and the short and long-term direction of the business and technology. Incumbents must be innovative in identifying, proposing, and executing solutions, negotiating requirements across multiple partners or departments, and must understand project scope management. Business Analysts should have a high-level understanding of the overall IT architecture to understand the issues and implications of proposed system and hardware solutions.

  • Providing technical expertise across business functions, understanding the relationship between the business and the data and technology that support the business or product.
  • Responsible for managing the collection, analysis, documentation, and coordination of multiple business and/or technical requirements.
  • Facilitating planning sessions with multiple business partners to improve business processes or products.
  • Establishing relationships with one or more business partners by demonstrating expert knowledge of business processes/drivers and technical systems.
  • Working with business partners to define needs to align with business priorities and assess impact on other business processes.
  • Advising business partners on options, limitations, risks, and cost vs. benefits.
  • Ensuring a structured requirement process for the business is adhered to.
  • May be accountable for a portion of a project plan in collaboration with project managers, from requirements phases through design, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Typically requires seven to ten years of relevant technical and business work experience.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of business operations, requirements processing, business modeling concepts, information systems and project life-cycle knowledge, and business process development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field specialized training, certification or equivalent work experience.
