The position oversees the execution of functional standards and best practices while providing technical assistance to the members of their Chapter. The role is focused on capability building rather than owning applications or delivery. Responsibilities include maintaining exemplary coding standards across the full stack, contributing to both front-end and back-end codebases, and acting as a technical leader and active coder. The individual will collaborate with product managers and other tech leads to ensure applications meet functional requirements and strategic objectives, select and implement resilient technology stacks, and lead system changes to ensure efficient project delivery. The role also involves shaping and driving the Bank-Wide engineering strategy and collaborating with UX/UI designers and developers to deliver cohesive software solutions.

  • Provide technical assistance to Chapter members.
  • Maintain quality of the code repository.
  • Prioritize and allocate capacity for technical debt.
  • Contribute to both front-end and back-end codebases.
  • Function as a technical leader and active coder.

  • Select and implement resilient technology stacks.
  • Lead and partake in system changes.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development.
  • At least 5 years focused on Backend projects involving Java and Spring frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience with RESTful API development.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong version control skills using tools like Git.
  • Exceptional communication and team-building skills.
  • Ability to lead in dynamic, iterative development environments.
  • Proficiency in Java and core Java concepts.
  • Expertise with Java Frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
  • Understanding of web technologies like HTTP, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML.
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
