The CJIN Program Supervisor of the Criminal Justice Information Network Services (CJIN) is responsible for administration of CJIN operations and staff management. CJIN Services is responsible for CJIN system management, FBI/NLETS State control terminal functions, policy enforcement, operational and technical assistance to agencies for their terminals and users. As well as the National Data Exchange, National Instant Criminal Background Check System, and manages the state concealed weapon permits repository. This position is also responsible for administering AMBER Alerts, Blue Alerts, and Missing Endangered Person Advisories (MEPA). The CJIN Program Supervisor will represent the Montana Department of Justice and the Division of Criminal Investigation during jointly sponsored work-related projects and meetings; participate in the development of Section goals, objectives and performance measures designed to improve operational effectiveness; and attend coordination and planning meetings with key stakeholders and other units within the Crime Information Bureau. This position must promote and maintain liaison with other law enforcement, governmental, and public agencies to establish and maintain effective, efficient, and open lines of communication including but not limited to, face-to-face meetings, site visits, and telephone contacts.
